BOGGI MILANO Fall-Winter 2019/20

Passion for Italian Elegance

Get ready for the cooler days with Boggi Milano’s unbeatable style. The Fall-Winter 2019/20 collection by Boggi Milano embraces innovation, which is revealed in the use of materials – such as Smart Flannel and Pecora Nera wool – but also in the total look proposals, which privilege layering and versatile pieces. The colour palette is warmed by new hues such as ochre, burgundy and forest green, alongside the iconic colours of male elegance – navy blue and grey.

The male wardrobe becomes hi-tech and comprises engineering and design, in a synergic combination that produces collections of ever-greater performance and functionality. This is how the new Boggi Milano two-piece suit and the suit in 100% Machine Washable wool came into being. The former is made in technical jersey to guarantee comfort and freedom of movement; the second is outstanding for its resilience to machine-washing, quickly returning to its original shape, and for its excellent crease-resistance, characteristics that can be ascribed to the fabric’s unique structural conformation. www.boggi.com

The range is completed by one of the new ideas for the season, to be worn exclusively under a jacket: the vest. In nylon and filled with goose down, it has suede trim – on the collar, armholes and at the waist – and comes in six colours: camel, army, navy blue, red, ochre and orange. After the success of last winter, the double-breasted knitwear vest also takes on new hues and ensures timeless elegance.

Smart Flannel becomes a standout fabric and is used for bomber jackets, quilted coats, vests and sneakers. Made from warm and high-performance wool, they offer remarkable water-repellent and heat regulation properties, along with the purity of merino wool. The outerwear garments are padded with goose down and finished with details in windproof nylon, while the leather sneakers also acquire water-repellent performance due to the use of this special flannel.

The Brezza jacket in breathable, three-layer, temperature-regulating, windproof fabric offers a comprehensive suite of technical characteristics, including breathability and lightness.

For the first time, Boggi Milano is introducing the overshirt, a jersey garment that shares the characteristics of a shirt and the versatility of a jacket. Ideal for the fluctuating temperatures in the fall season, it is also made in corduroy, and it becomes one of the key elements in a layered look. The same fabric is also used for the two-piece suit, consisting of a single-breasted blazer and pants.

The fusion of formal and casual elements, already present in previous collections, returns in the drawstring pants, available in a new range of colours and fabrics, and the polo shirt, which for the first time includes a version with a mandarin collar. The lambs wool tweed blazer with nylon bib presents a combination of a technical fabric with classic British style. It is a piece that succinctly expresses the latest developments in contemporary menswear. The same concept also appears in wool or jersey coats.

For colder weather, the new pieces for the season come directly from the mountains, such as the double-breasted sheepskin jacket with shearling lapels, or the parka with an inner nylon body warmer for temperature regulation.

In its Fall-Winter 2019/20 collection, Boggi Milano sets out on its journey towards sustainability: Ecological Wool, made by the Bottoli wool mill, and Pecora Nera, by Loro Piana. In both, yarns are not dyed, and they remain extremely soft, lightweight and strong. The resulting textiles have been used for four blazers and a coat, with surprising temperature-regulating properties, in a range of natural colours.
