Irish multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ciarán returns with “RED 99,” the latest single from his anticipated debut solo album, Róisín, arriving November 6th via Ninja Tune. Out today alongside an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s New Music Daily, the track marks the fourth teaser from his forthcoming full-length project and his first solo offering since performing as Bearface in BROCKHAMPTON.

Building on an expanding body of work, “RED 99” opens with a sultry guitar solo, gradually swelling into a richly layered crescendo before dropping into an abrupt halt capped by Ciarán’s smooth vocal delivery. Accompanied by a new official music video, the track follows a string of well-received releases, including debut single “K-Bar,” recent cut “Houston,” and “Galvarino,” which together have built steady momentum and earned early support across The FADER, Clash, Rolling Stone, and Pigeons & Planes.

Landing this November across 13 tracks, Róisín traces a journey of Ciarán reclaiming his own name. Once destined to be his middle name, the title serves as a symbolic anchor for the project and pays homage to his Irish roots. Speaking on the decision, Ciarán shares, “I was always hesitant to go by Ciarán. People learn how to pronounce difficult names all the time. Irish names are beautiful.”

Rather than rushing to define what his next chapter would look like, he took time to experiment with different sounds until finding something entirely his own. “I’d rather wait and take my time than put something out because of any perceived pressures from anyone else,” he explains. Rife with guitars, distorted vocals, and the collision of harsh textures and dreamy chords, Róisín captures an artist fully settled into his identity.
