This series was conceived as a tribute to these empty cities, these deserted streets and these many closed down shops. During a sunny spring day, Maëlle decided to put on her purple tie, which she kept for special occasions, and bring these abandoned places back to life, by wearing colourful clothes and exploring every inspiring spot.
We shot it in France, just before the third lockdown, and we could really feel that lack of life everywhere.
