The photographs are compositionally exacting eye-candy color palettes offering just enough flavour without overstatement. Her work is completely submerged in the present. This obsession with the spontaneous, moment-capturing aspect of photography invites a visual/sensory catharsis from the often anxious desire for material permanence — a artistic thesis both deeply modern and vital.

“The Fallen King“ has lost his wealth and prosperity. He wanders his castle halls, lonely and bemoaning his wasted frivolities.

He moves in his salon like a ghost, bedecked in richly detailed fabrics and exuding a glamour and pomp which in context belies his hubris. The kingdom is gone and yet he remains—as if a living monument to excess. A king of dreams in a husk of hopes.

The expressive fabrics and his forlorn looks can barely shield us from the truth: the king is dead, long live the king…
