“My name is Italia Cardinale and I’m a fashion photographer from Costa Rica and currently living in Barcelona while I finish my fashion photography masters degree. I love creating stories with my pictures by connecting with the subject in front of the camera and going deeper into who they are beyond just a person with beautiful features. This editorial came about when I was doing a test shoot with 6 models. At first, when I was planning it, I didn’t really think much of it beyond just doing the test shots but as I started photographing them in turns one after the other I managed to see more than ever how their own unique personality came to shine in each of their sets. I always tell them that I like going with the flow and just playing with their energy and this day was so much fun because of it. I managed to find them and get to know them more and create a story where they were also the writers themselves, so I couldn’t help myself and had to turn it into an editorial.”
