PROC*

“The construction of identity in its process”. The two keywords for this collection are “construction” and “process”. Aligning the construction of an identity with the process of creating a garment.

Identity can be defined in its process but never fully asserted. Like the archive of each garment, they can be extended endlessly, always recording key points in their construction so that they can be revisited in the future, even modified to generate new garments.

JANO BIKOITZA

“In my collection Jano Bikoitza I explore the evolution and differentiation that I and my twin brother have experienced through external factors, such as role models. My project investigates how two people with the same genetic material have found distinctive ways of expression. Therefore, the garments are at the same time multiple garments, multi-position pieces that everyone can adapt and wear according to their personality and how they want to express and show themselves.

I also make reference to the colours and raw materials of the land of my ancestors, the Basque Country, using natural dyes that reference the landscapes of my childhood.”

CUANDO DE NOCHE ME ABRAZAS (WHEN YOU HOLD ME AT NIGHT)

This collection represents one of the most primal ideas on which our Western society is built, the differentiation between good and evil, from the perspective of Christianity. We grow up under the promise of reaching heaven, paradise, after death. But the acts committed in life will determine the difficulty of this process.

This collection depicts through garments the journey of the soul, after dying in repentance, punishment and purgatory, to achieve God’s forgiveness.

UNA DESPEDIDA OBLIGADA (A FORCED FAREWELL)

This collection is a heart-rending cry reflected in letters, expressing the incomprehension, the pain and the process of acceptance of a forced farewell.

It does this through the representation of the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

LA RESILENCIA DE LO ARTESANAL (CRAFTSMANSHIP RESILIENCE)

A fashion collection based on the symbiosis between analogue and digital textile crafts.

Noting that 3D printing has infinite possibilities for creation, why not bring craftsmanship closer to today’s generations through it? A faster working mechanics, with more opportunities for change and in a sustainable way.

AWARE:

This collection is inspired by the flora of the Iberian Peninsula, as a tribute to land art, an artistic current that seeks to study and interact with the natural environment to carry out the work.

Like a land art artist, I immersed myself in the study of the environment, the available materials such as bioplastics and the place where the work will be presented, letting this interaction with nature guide me in the creative process.

LAS FLORES DE MI ARMARIO (THE FLOWERS IN MY WARDROBE)

This is a story of a child and a flower bed, with its flowers, weeds and earthworms. A story divided into 6 chapters, where I disembowel the good and the bad of my life experience in order to replant what is to come.

An odyssey through the browns and greens of the mountains of Madrid. A small tour through Las Flores de mi Armario.

MARÍA PAULA PRIETO (BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA)

REVOLUCIÓN NUPCIAL (BRIDAL REVOLUTION)

Revolución Nupcial seeks to rescue the individuality and revolutionary character of the modern bride, inviting us to question and recreate the bridal gown, challenging established norms and fusing elegance and rebellion in each design. Using unconventional fabrics such as denim as a symbol of rebellious youth and cultural rebellion in the 20th century and deconstructing traditional fabrics to represent the break with traditional roles.

This collection seeks to inspire women, to remember the old.
