“I’m Alba Cantero, a fashion photographer based in Barcelona and Malaga. Last year I graduated in audiovisual communication, and this year I finished my master’s degree in fashion photography in Barcelona. Talking to my models before and during the shoot and making them participate in a little story is one of the most important things for me. Although it might just be a 3-line plot, they always play a specific character, for me they are actors.
In this case, we started from an aesthetic that draws from many styles, but above all, it is very ”punk”. The first thing you may think when you see the model is that he listens to the Sex Pistols or The Clash as soon as he gets home after failing a math test in school, or that you might find him in a London club. I wanted to do something different and shoot this editorial in a traditional Spanish house and performing certain actions that had nothing to do with what ”you would expect” of his outfit.
Right now my goal is to improve my artistic skills, discover others and do new projects, that forces me to give my best.”
