A KALTBLUT exclusive. Fan Wu is a photographer and a visual artist based in Hong Kong and New York. Born in Shantou, China, and raised by a single mother, Wu grew up living mostly with guardians and attended schools in Singapore and later New York. Growing up as a “third culture kid” through Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York, she became interested in the behaviors and social differences across cultures. She loves people watching in cafes, bars or any interactive setting. Wu’s work explores emotions and the human condition. In her latest project, Inseparable Separable, Wu curated a photo shoot to explore and test boundaries and emotions of her friends, the twin sisters Berit Einemo Frøysland & Anna Einemo Frøysland while in Berlin. In 2016, they bonded with one another during Wu’s photo exhibition in Stockholm while Berit and Anna performed at her vernissage.
