Since 1989, G-Star RAW has pushed the boundaries of denim design while manifesting their vision of the future by introducing ‘luxury denim’ for the streets through pioneering styles.
Hardcore Denim is the philosophy that expresses the brand’s obsession with denim: the cloth, the craft and the history. I’ve been a big G-Star RAW fan since 1994. Not a day goes by that I don’t wear a G-Star RAW piece.
It’s therefore my pleasure to introduce you to the new ‘Exclusives by G-Star RAW’ collection today. I’m in love with the colour palette and the cuts of the new items. I’m sure this collection offers everyone a favourite item and I’d love to know which item is your favourite.

“Exclusives by G-Star RAW” encapsulates the limitless creativity of the brand. This season, elaborate designs are showcased within the collection themes, expressed without restraint whilst employing the G-Star DNA in its purest, most extrovert form. Rising young actor, Langston Uibel, features in the new campaign shoot.
The Berlin-based talent is known for his work in the hit Netflix shows ‘Unorthodox’ and ‘How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast)’. After being nominated for the Young Icon Award in recent years, Langston Uibel is fast becoming the one to watch. @langstonuibel

Inspired by the Dakar Rally
The G-Star RAW design team has developed their ‘Exclusives by G-Star RAW’ collection into a range of new, high- end specials. This season, the extreme designs take inspiration from the Dakar Rally. With features mimicking those of the hard-wearing “Enduro” equipment, developed solely for the demanding racing environment. The bold and complex garments each include surprising elements such as reversibile features and unusual silhouettes, coinciding with an ease of wearability. The desert-inspired colour palette includes soft pastels, with lighter hues of green and pink, ready for the Spring season.
Japanese workwear
In addition to this, the RAW research capsule emphasizes the true G-Star DNA. The design team experimented with denim-focused garments to create elevated and refined styles with a considered, conceptual twist. This season’s inspiration is taken from Japanese workwear which originates from the Japanese military uniform. Aspects taken from these uncompromising and unique garments include a wider leg with an abruptly narrower fit at the calf.

Superior construction techniques, premium fabrics and hybrid design features aim to encapsulate the story behind each piece in the collection. Designed to exceed standards, the ‘Exclusives by G-Star RAW’ collection brings reinvention and innovation to every stitch, seam and rivet, creating timeless icons for both men and women.

High Fashion Trench Coat wmn
This versatile womens trench coat is the ideal, timeless piece for Spring. Created with a classic, high fashion look and feel, the volumous sleeves take inspiration from 1930’s Haute Couture constructions.
Premium details play a huge part in the construction of the garment with a belted waist feature, double layered fabrics, a statement collar and button detailing throughout. Another source of inspiration was the RAF Parka coats made for extreme weather, this idea aided in the creation of the double layered fabric throughout the piece.
E 72H lifesuit mn
This jumpsuit takes inspiration from vintage life vests from the G-Star RAW archive. It was created with enough pockets to store 72 hours worth of trip necessities and features a large 3D pocket around the neck. Other strong details include a multitude of deep utility-style pockets, elasticated collar and hems for ease of movement and contrasting herringbone tape details.
The tapered fit at the bottom takes inspiration from Japanese workwear. The garment was created using a premium fabric mix including Japanese denim.
E Washed Leather Jacket mn
Taking inspiration from the Dakar Rally, this jacket has been constructed into a typical ‘biker’ fit. Seams have been constructed further inwards to create an oversized look and so that movement is flexible. The jacket has been made in a premium, white leather adding a contemporary twist to the staple piece. Standout features include action pleats on the back, 3D pockets on the sleeves, contrasting herringbone tape along the zippers and a premium mesh lining.
E 24H Lifevest Shirt mn
This utility-inspired garment has been created with enough pockets to store 24 hour trip necessities, taking inspiration from vintage life vests from the G-Star RAW archive. Created in a soft army green colour from the desert- inspired seasonal color palette. The lifevest shirt is a standout alternative to the everyday jacket, with dramatic details yet a light-weight and functional fit. Produced in a premium fabric mix with a big 3D pocket around the neck and pencilcase pockets on the back of sleeves.
GSRR Selvedge 3D A-Cropped Bootcut Jeans wmn
These womenswear GSRR 3D A-Cropped jeans take inspiration from the iconic G-Star Elwood jeans. Created out of two denim types; 100% cotton Japanese Kaiyo denim combined with the 100% cotton Drill Twill in color Salute, which you can see contrasting at the waist and heel.
The jeans offer a roomy fit with a bootcut leg, where woven tape reinforce the seams at the
inner legs.
E Bomber wmn
Bomber E has a loose fitting design, with a detachable hood and woven tape at the waist. The volumous cropped bomber takes inspiration from 1930s Haute Couture movement-inspired jackets. The peak hood construction offers an extended panel that covers the top shoulders giving optimum protection. This padded jacket comes with zip pockets at the waist and shows a broad flap pocket at the chest. The oversized 3D sleeves are reinforced with a woven tape along the seam and multiple pleats at the elbow, adding additional details to the silhouette.
