Kaldewei SUPERPLAN ZERO shot by Bryan Adams – Like a choreography of precision and elegance

The art-loving company Kaldewei is celebrating the new start after the months of lockdown with Bryan Adams. The world class musician and photographer stages the new SUPERPLAN ZERO shower floor impressively with ballet dancers.

Kaldewei has teamed up with Bryan Adams for the second time. The photographer succeeds in capturing aesthetic movements in a unique way on a “stage” made of steel enamel. For his exciting pictures he works with personalities from the world of ballet. The dance form is considered one of the toughest disciplines in the world and it takes years before the steps and poses can be performed precisely and elegantly. Therefore, it was a meeting between like-minded people. The dedication to detail and perfection plays a central role from the idea stage to market readiness, and it is also the case for the creation of bathroom objects made of steel enamel.

The renowned Canadian choreographer Eric Gauthier as well as the dancers Arielle Martin, Tatiana Martinez and the soloist Federico Spallitta were staged in front of the camera in six motifs. After a long break due to the pandemic, the atmosphere in the Berlin studio was permeated with positive energy. Bryan Adams captured the power and elegance of the movements in a highly aesthetic way. The images, which stimulate the imagination, show only part of the body for which the Kaldewei shower floor, withdrawn and elegantly embedded, sets the stage. In view of the powerful legs of the dancer quartet, the sensual serenity of a shower moment comes to the fore.

“It was a great pleasure to collaborate again with Kaldewei, where I captured the elegance of ballet dancers on a unique stage.” That is what the Canadian photographer and musician commented about the work for Kaldewei.

This summer, Kaldewei is particularly pleased about the continuation of the collaboration with Bryan Adams, which began in 2020 with the staging of the Ming and Miena washbasin bowls in which the message of solidarity by means of hygiene was in the foreground.

The Canadian rock musician, who has also been an internationally sought-after photographer for over two decades and who publishes his “ZOO Magazine” which was launched in Berlin in 2003, has published four extensive photo volumes with the art and photography publisher Steidl during this time. Bryan Adams has just photographed the pictures for the renowned, limited and highly prestigious Pirelli calendar 2022.

The new shower floor from Kaldewei, the Superplan Zero, impresses with its absolutely floor-level finish. Zero steps, zero edges, zero compromises thanks to a variety of colours and dimensions. Zero also because when developing the product, Kaldewei placed the customer wishes at the forefront and not only designed an elegant bathroom floor enhancement, but also produced it using a patented manufacturing process. The base is steel enamel: Luxurious because of its glass surface and design, yet thoroughly sustainable because of its unconditional durability and 100% circularity.

The Superplan Zero, which is characterised by its elegant lines, was developed by the award-winning Berlin product designer Werner Aisslinger.
