The Fall/Winter collection presented a theme entitled “Word Up,” with rebellious and unconventional creations. The photography is editorial and starred with opulence and desirability concept moods. This collection shows a sense of hope, resilience and inspiration through fashion in this pandemic.
“During uncertain COVID-19 pandemic times like these, our mentals can be challenged and it’s tough to see the light in times of darkness. That was just an inconvenience. This pandemic is more serious because it affects health and lives and there is so much we don’t know about it.
This collection aimed to show encouraging messages in the form of fashion. Words and phrases can convey positivity or negativity. It is important to spread positivity and a sense of calm as we all navigate these unprecedented times together. One way we are doing this is by finding inspiration amid the uncertainty.
Details such as word print are used to encourage positivity and hope for others.
In this sense, the materials used are also ethical to support what has happened in this uncertainty. Recycled denim, owned velvet and vegan chiffon fabric.
In collaboration with the creative team, “Word Up” F/W22 becomes dynamic, unapologetically glamorous, and visually compelling.”
