Covid-19 was defiantly a game-changer in the fashion industry. This world-wide pandemic changed everything we used to know and mostly forced us to adapt quickly to new lifestyle-as creators and consumers.
One part of the industry that was truly harmed is the newly graduated fashion students. Those talented young designers were caught up in an unknown challenging situation. Not only they had to pull off their final collection while been on lockdown but they also were prevented from showcasing their collection on the annual runway show.
Eldad Tzadok is the founder and the creative director of Déstu, a creative house based in Tel Aviv. Eldad founded the agency to provide one-stop-shop for creating an experience and visual content, especially for the fashion industry.
“We decided to pick up the slack!” said Eldad, “We contacted Natalie Tzur, a newly graduated designer from Shenkar, an Israeli world’s leading fashion school, and together with the video creator Reuven Yamrom and team, we created for Natalie a full visual story ‘breakthrough package’ to proudly showcase her final project online.”
Natalie’s menswear collection, “Made to Last”, deals with the field of sustainability and its relationship with the fashion industry.
The wardrobe she designed is coped with the packaging aspect and its role in the fashion industry.
As packaging is inseparable in our experience as fashion consumers she decided to design a sustained, timeless and functional capsule wardrobe that drew inspiration from research on the formality, layout and usability of packaging. The editorial reflects the growing movement of sustainability in the world and empowering this important revolution driven by young generations.
