MCM Autumn/Winter 2021 – M’ETAVERSE

This season, the German luxury fashion house MCM is moving into M’ETAVERSE and is presenting its latest collection for autumn/winter 2021. Inspired by the assimilation between the virtual and the natural world and from the physical to the digital, this collection celebrates a seasonless approach.

From structured tailoring and deconstructed silhouettes to bold graphics and organic motifs – the latest collection exemplifies the MCM DNA of mobility and freedom. The focus of the new seasonless approach is the introduction of a new monogram, which transforms the logo insignia of the brand into a cubic 3D pattern and alludes to the past but at the same time looks to the future. The visual conceptualization symbolizes the M’ETAVERSE of the brand – the flowing transitions from physical to virtual worlds and the journeys that accompany them. Multipurpose designs of the classic bag models enable a hands-free approach.

For ready-to-wear, a combination of plush and smooth materials creates a futuristic feel, while graphic applications on a jersey, knitwear and outerwear invite a layering look. A mixture of resilient natural and synthetic materials, such as recycled nylon and organic cotton, protects against the elements, while feather-light leather improves freedom of movement.

In continuation of the newly introduced lifestyle categories from MCM, the range presents pillows, sleeping masks as well as socks, knitted tights and mules for indoor lounging and outdoor living. Every look presents contrasts – from day to evening, from intimate to daring.
