“Dreams of Concrete Town“ is one more noisy social campaign of the brand KOMBINIZONA, founded by Innovative Sewing Factory, which was translated into a new collection under the creative direction of Gano Melitauri. 33 years old designer & entrepreneur from Georgia is a film director by initial profession and she has MA in innovations. The company champions innovations and inclusion in the Georgian fashion industry since 2017. Absolutely all models are made according to Gano military large-scale scientific research “Color perception, Myths, Conclusions and Recommendations” (Master’s Thesis of the University of Warsaw in 2016). Looks made with different cocktails of colours have no analogues in either Europe or America, and the main slogan “Color Architecture for Happiness” – is actively justified EU supported since 2020.
“KOMBINZONA SINCE 2017 TRYES TO MAKE SUSTAINABLE DECISIONS AND MANAGES MAIN FABRIC WASTE INTO KIDS CLOTH AGAIN AND AGAIN. SINCE 2020 BRAND BEGAN TO DEVELOP ACCESSORIES LINE MADE FROM DIFFERENT WASTE. WHICH ARE GAINED FROM PARTNERS TOO.” The first and only brand of adaptive (for PWD) and maternity clothes in Georgia and the Caucasus. Each Capsula – collection has a strong social message and expresses different problems.
“Dreams of Concrete Town”
Problems of Air pollution, illegal construction, Covid –19 isolation and urban-deface, brand expressed with sharp dissonance of multifunctional, tactic trousers, unisex coats/jackets and elegant dresses, handmade paintings made on 100% natural fabrics with sews and flowery air vents draped overheads.
“I am proud, that vast majority of fabrics are specially created for the collection with my paintings, all of them express the main idea and have no analogue anywhere in the world”. – Gano digitalized her own paintings made according to her own global scientific research “colour perception “ and with Eco-friendly highest quality sublimation print placed on fabrics.
The main part of the collection is made of natural fabrics. As in Georgia, there is no special high-quality print machine for natural fabrics, Gano first draws architectural lines one by one on fabrics and then gave the last view with colourful sews made upon drawings.
“For dialogue with society and expressions of my feelings, I always try to find innovative, interesting forms which could be typical for only our identity, So as a low-quality print on natural fabrics was last what I wanted to use, I visualized my ideas and feelings on fabrics physically too. Its important, that each detail for the runway show is original artwork of the “Kombinizona” team – looks, a short film about the main problem and original music my grandmothers Sister Ishkhneli’s song “AR DAIJEREB” was the best option for problems we tell about, so talented artist Saba Gagnidze transformed it special for the show, also we use two of his original tracks, I think music is important during any performance.”
