This story was created by Filipe & Christophe, a creative duo based in Paris. A KALTBLUT exclusive.

Filipe Joannes is a photographer from Rio de Janeiro. A background in creative direction acceded him to the fashion industry – which led to his applying at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, shaping his structure and knowledge of visual storytelling stated by art, fashion, and beauty – to direct and control the narrative, Filipe then decided to study Photography at New York Film Academy, fulfilling the anatomy of his craft in imagery production.

In his sheer approach to photography, Filipe aims to defy predetermined concepts contributing with an avant-garde manifesto; aligned with his perspective and comprehension of fashion as engineering that moves humanity, framing societies in time and space. In his beliefs, just by challenging opinions and shivering the system, you can move the needle in our contemporary culture.

Christophe Kharrat is a French-Lebanese Art Director born in the Middle East. From a young age, Christophe existed at the intersection of both Western and Eastern influence; he comes from a long line of fashion designers with roots in the Belle Epoque that spanned the cultural heart of both Beirut and Paris – this heritage, combined with his taste for avant-garde, drove him to construct his life in Paris around artists, photographers, designers, makeup artists, dancers and composers who inspire his aesthetic and body of work.

Christophe has been involved in different imagery and commercial productions; also signed different fashion editorials as a stylist and worked in the direction of events to support the conservation of Lebanese cultural heritage across Beirut’s many museums.
