OBSTINANCE is a story unfolding the feeling of resistance as a natural consequence of the pressure to submit to standards set by the local creative community. Growing up and building a career in the creative industry of the minimalistic Nordics – Norway in particular – offers distinct hurdles. The breath of coldness in Nordic work is ever-present, and the temptation to be content with predetermined narratives is often unconquerable.
Borderless boundaries are encouraged in our local industry, although not appreciated and uplifted as often and equally. The Creative Director approached this vision wanting something that could showcase identity and creativity in every way for every individual involved while straying from the conformity of the Scandi expression. This photo story is a vision of an ever-changing creation.
