Alex Radota:

“Im a young emerging photographer and creative director based in London. Through my projects, I value the story shown behind every work. The story that speaks to the audience. The word “Pili Pala” is derived from Welsh and refers to a butterfly. In my vision, the word “Pili” refers to a gentle creature that I imagine is related to the moment when a butterfly opens its wings. Pala represents the butterfly’s journey and the meaning of transition. This editorial explores the concept of transition through the life of a butterfly.

My assistant Simran Kaur was also involved in the research as she was the one who pitched the idea of calling the project “Pili Pala”
