The universe loves tragedy; It gives us the ability to save memories of happy moments that end up making us feel even sadder when we realize what we have lost them.

I have walked where we used to walk and I have seen the same trees and the same flowers and the same old people sitting on the same wooden benches, and I have wondered how it is possible that all those things are still there when you are gone. I could have sworn the earth revolved around you.
You left, but this sandy dirt road it’s still here, the flowers, even that newspaper you’ve used to buy. Everything is still here. Exactly the same, except for you.
