“DOWN 2 EARTH,” Talia’s eagerly awaited sophomore EP, delves into the facets of her cultural and musical identity. It traverses the emotional landscapes of affection, sorrow, and self-reflection. This collection confirms Talia’s flair for fusing diverse musical genres, comprising hits like the ethereal “FOREVER YOUNG” and the energetic anthem “ONE TIME.” The EP also features “I WANT YOU,” a track with a pristine psychedelic touch, and the powerful “EVERYBODY LOVES A WINNER,” which made its debut as a COLORS show in 2022. The fiery dancehall number “RAGGA” spotlights Talia’s dynamic flow and lyrical prowess, further cementing her burgeoning reputation. Her work has gained recognition from i-D, Fader, AFROPUNK, Dazed, Notion, Wonderland, and beyond.
At 21 years old, Brooklyn native Talia Goddess (born Tayahna Walcott), with Guyanese and British heritage, is a dynamic force in the arts. She is a self-driven singer-songwriter, rapper, music producer, DJ, model, multi-instrumentalist, creative entrepreneur, and community advocate. Talia uses her various skill sets to inspire her peers and drive cultural progression.
Engaged in the arts since the tender age of 6, Talia uses her diverse talents to unite individuals from all backgrounds. A recent graduate from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, she launched her record label and creative agency TRANCE, which focuses on amplifying black queer youth. Her impressive portfolio of brand collaborations includes Diesel, Supreme New York, Versace Jeans Couture, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, MCM, Converse, AWAKE NY, among others.
