Iris Tempelaar is a Rotterdam based fashion photographer. Body poses form a central element in her imagery. Her approach to photography follows concepts found in sculpturing, with a focus on silhouettes, colour and volume composition. Within the series SIMPLE (‘Don’t forget, men are simple’) she and her team explore masculinity within femininity. ‘I am fascinated by gender expression and how society connects visual aspects to a certain gender role. My aim is to broaden the visual gender landscape.’
