Sound of the Week: siovo – BABYBOY

With “BABYBOY,” siovo passionately dives into the emotional chaos of unrequited love. The track masterfully combines melancholic guitars, thick synths, and great vocals to create a soundscape that beautifully encapsulates both the weight of longing and the lightness of hope. siovo has quickly emerged as one of the most thrilling newcomers in the German Gen-Z pop scene, captivating listeners with his emotionally charged electronic pop that blends synthetic elements with organic sounds.

I absolutely love this artist and his incredible music. Fresh off the heels of a successful tour, siovo has just released a new video that I adore, showcasing a stunning track that represents a masterclass in queer music, one that boldly explores themes without compromise. It’s truly exhilarating to see an artist embrace his identity so wholeheartedly.

His album, “für immer: babyboy,” has just dropped, and I believe it is poised to be one of the best German pop albums of 2026. The title track highlights siovo’s sonic evolution, marking a significant maturation in his artistry. Recorded in Oberschöneweide and Leipzig, this album narrates the challenges of love in the modern age, illustrating how both city life and the internet can create barriers to genuine connection.

As I immerse myself in siovo’s work, I am constantly reminded of the depth and authenticity he brings to his music. It’s not just entertainment; it’s a powerful reflection of experiences that resonate deeply with many listeners, including myself. I can’t wait to see where his journey takes him next!
