The photoshoot was recently produced in Berlin, by a team of local creatives, designers and models. Along with Klaesi Holdener’s AW 2020 collection, the models also wore a selection of garments from UY.
Following the current social distancing regulations, the shoot explored interactions between physical forms and the surrounding space whilst adhering to the 1.5m rule. Instead of touching and bodily closeness, the models respond to each other in the space within the surrounding architecture.
The shoot challenged familiar ways of working, adapting to the new localized constraints of Berlin. Using clothes made in the city and working with people living within it, the shoot enabled the team to see that intuitive solutions for physical proximity can still be formed and applied amid social restrictions.
