The reflection of the sculpture is an editorial project that combines the mind and figure of the creative director and multidisciplinary artist Eduardo Jairycovich with the analogical vision of the French photographer Moonkiid. Inspired by mythological figures like Pygmalion and Galatea, the story behind these pictures talks about how an inanimate sculpture comes alive and starts moving until it finally meets the sea and nature. Eduardo and Moonkiid use the reflection of Valencia’s waters, in Spain, almost as if it was a mirror where a young Narcissus would look into to end up falling in love with himself. All this synergy reflects on crucial aspects such as overcoming shyness, acceptance and self-esteem.
