“Nothin like a little bit ’a death to, freshen up your, freshen your perspective”. Introducing Swiss Alternative-Pop artist and producer Vôx Vé and her new single: You Don’t Know How Good You Had It. Dark-Indie-Pop at its best! Congratulations!
Vôx Vé combines chills-inducing vocal talent à la London Grammar’s Hannah Reid, with genre-bending beats and a thought-provoking perspective. Her hyper-creative debut EP “Dream Theory” drew comparisons to Sia and FKA Twigs from publications such as Earmilk, Atwood Magazine, and others, who described her work as “immediately intriguing and fresh”— “luxurious dream-pop that transcends sonic norms.”
Born and raised in Switzerland, Vôx moved to the US to study philosophy at Columbia University, and you hear it in her lyrics, which thoughtfully reconsider ideas of happiness and success in her Insta-generation. A mental health advocate and long-time student of Positive Psychology, Vôx, her story, and her music have much to add to the buzzing cultural conversation around mental wellbeing in the current age.
Vôx’s forthcoming first full-length LP “We Went Looking for Art” is the type to make you close your eyes and say oof, as it hits you with powerful beauty from a place of raw post-traumatic growth. Produced by Vôx from her childhood home in Geneva and mixed with Christopher “C-Ray” Roberts in her new home of L.A. the 8-track LP is destined for the internet’s hottest playlists of Sad Bangers and Haunting Vocals, evoking a little Låpsley, a little BANKS and a lot of feels for thought.
