The Ukrainian brand TTSWTRS, remarkable for its bold clothes with the tattoos optical illusion on the naked body, presents the capsule collection Second Skin Séries. The line includes new versions of the iconic bodice and hoodie with a “second skin” effect, created in collaboration with seven famous tattoo artists from different countries.
Second Skin Séries collection consists of the most beloved, comfortable and iconic TTSWTRS things. Eight new variations of the iconic “a second skin” hoodies and bodices, in which you feel as free as possible and can be yourself because it is not made as typical camouflage, but as the personality extension and one more way to express your inner self.
In Second Skin Séries the idea of the naked body fragility and naturalness is intertwined with the bright and strong tattoos nature in. Bodysuits and hoodies were created in collaboration with seven tattoo artists that are of particular importance to TTSWTRS. Each piece has unique drawings and the artist’s tattoo signature. The colour of each tattoo was painstakingly displayed in order to achieve the desired shade, convey the mood of each master and emphasize the technique’s nature.
Traditional Japanese symbols, primordial motifs, dragons and tigers appeared in the capsule thanks to the Japanese ornamentalist Nissaco, who has been working in dotwork and blackwork techniques with the Japanese cultural codes for more than 15 years. Graphic dotwork images of plants, flowers and mandalas are the work of the Ukrainian tattoo artist Sasha Masiuk, known worldwide as Sashatattooing, who has worked with Adam Levin ( Maroon 5) and Behati Prinsloo. Among the masters – Kyiv-based illustrator and tattoo artist Ian Levin, who works exclusively with black, combining pop culture and the underground, Moscow-based tattoo master Nikita Khomyakov, Katya Ponomarenko, who works in hand poke style and beats minimalistic tattoos reminiscent of children’s drawings, Misha Kozlov a Russian tattoo artist working with Japanese ancient motives, and Artur Muzechenko a Kyiv tattoo artist who works in his own style with signs, symbols and images, combining primitive lines and shapes with realistic ones.
In this capsule, TTSWTRS uses already traditional fabrics for the brand – natural and tactile micro modal and organic cotton. The high quality of prints is the result of the work of the brand’s own printing production and a combination of various printing techniques: silk-screen, digital and sublimation.
TTSWTRS (which stands for TATTOOSWEATERS) is a00 Ukrainian-based brand that was created back in 2013 as a creative project of designer Anna Osmekhina, a former costume designer and stylist.. Brand’s DNA is the abundance of beige imitating naked skin, basic colours, and tattoos. Anna Osmekhina works with emerging and established global tattoo artists to create the designs on the apparel. Grimes, Nina Kravitz, Irina Shayk, Kourtney Kardashian, Sita Abellan, Nicky Minaj, Lisa Owen, Tommy Cash, Lena Perminova, and many others wear TTSWTRS. Such magazines as Forbes, Dazed, Metal Magazine, Hypebae and many others wrote about the brand.
