Southern California-based global lifestyle brand UGG® continues its ongoing commitment to seek and use better materials in pursuit of a more regenerative future. This July, the brand is evolving its Plant Power Collection, a line of footwear featuring plant-based, bio-based and reclaimed materials, for Autumn/Winter 2022.
“At UGG, we are committed to our journey toward a more regenerative world,” said Nicks Ericsson, Senior Director, Brand Purpose at UGG®. “Our latest Plant Power Collection reaffirms this ongoing commitment, as we reimagine our iconic styles and introduce new silhouettes that include plant-based and bio-based low emitting materials with offsets for the small number of emissions they create – making the materials carbon-neutral.”
Reimagining UGG®’s signature products and materials to achieve a more sustainable offering, the Fuzz Sugar Clog, Fluff Yeah Fuzz Sugar, Fuzz Sugar Slide, and Fuzz Sugar Cross Slide are crafted from low-impact materials with offsets purchased for the small number of emissions they create – making the materials carbon neutral. Adapting the brand’s signature look and feel, the soft plush upper on each fan-favourite UGG® style uses TENCEL™ Lyocell sourced from responsibly-harvested trees, and a SugarSole™ midsole made with renewable sugarcane. Delivering the bold fashion expected from UGG®, these four responsible options help the wearer feel good in more ways than one.
The latest update in the brand’s ongoing FEEL GOOD initiative, the Autumn/Winter 2022 Plant Power Collection– available now at UGG.com, UGG® stores, and select retailers nationwide – is just one-way UGG® is working to make positive strides for the planet.
