Varying Perspectives by Subsurface

Newly-launched womenswear brand — Subsurface — provides speciality, seasonless pieces with environmentalism at the forefront. “As a consumer, I felt like many of the brands that were prioritizing eco-conscious values were creating basics. I wanted to create a brand that utilizes eco-conscious processes and materials while creating unique pieces with quality craftsmanship,” says Founder and Designer, Kari Fry.

Each piece is produced locally via Made-To-Order, and launches on a per-piece basis, bypassing the multi-season annual fashion calendar.

This editorial is named ‘Varying Perspectives,’ which along with the capsule collection, nods to history, as many of the silhouette’s reference previous decades and have been reworked and reinterpreted with a modern lens.
