Wrangler® x ILGA World – Love and Pride

For 75 years, Wrangler has celebrated love and the spirit of living your authentic self. In celebration of Pride, Wrangler is launching a capsule collection and a renewed partnership with ILGA World, a global federation that campaigns for LGBTQIA+ human rights.

The 2022 Wrangler Pride summer capsule collection features the iconic rainbow – the inspiring unifying symbol of LGBTQIA+ pride and equality, and a motif that Wrangler has used since the 1970s.

Denim is introduced to the collection for the first time. Raw-edge shorts are given a Pride makeover, with Wrangler’s recognisable pocket W-stitch transformed with rainbow colours. A white cotton tee features the Wrangler brand’s iconic horse graphic, surrounded by an uplifting message of empowerment based on the original rainbow flag, designed by Gilbert Baker in 1978, with statements such as “love,” “healing” and “harmony”. A black cotton hoodie featuring a smaller version of the graphic completes the collection.

Wrangler’s ongoing Love Stories project – where stories of authentic true love are shared – celebrates Pride month with a photo essay featuring LGBTQIA+ activists and community members, wearing the collection.

To further honour the importance of Pride month, Wrangler made a donation to ILGA World to support the organisation’s ongoing campaign for human rights for all.

About Wrangler

With origins going back to 1904 in Greensboro, North Carolina, Wrangler was born in 1947 with products created for the rigorous demands of cowboys and ranch hands. When denim was adopted as the uniform of the growing youth movement in the 1950s, Wrangler became synonymous with teenage attitude. A founding denim brand with a pioneering spirit, Wrangler invented the game-changing broken twill denim. More recent innovations include Indigood®, a platform that collects all technology eliminating the use of at least 90% of water in the fabric construction, versus conventional processes.
