With a rare talent for both singing and songwriting, rising artist Annie Tracy is releasing her EP Scared of Heights under Warner Records. Across seven tracks, the project showcases the best of pop, R&B, jazz, and even an unexpected rap verse, highlighting her impressive versatility.
The EP’s promotional single, Catching Feelings, stands out as an emotional centrepiece. Featuring singer, songwriter, and producer Leon Thomas, the track is rich with feeling, layered vocals, and skillfully crafted echoes that add sonic depth and texture. The accompanying music video has a cinematic feel that matches the drama of the song, so much so that it could easily serve as the soundtrack to a high-end film or series, thanks to its stunning musical complexity.
Another highlight is the title track, Scared of Heights, where Annie explores a relationship as both refuge and emotional anchor, a contrast to her impulsive, chaotic, and dream-filled nature, which resists control yet longs for connection. The fear of heights becomes a metaphor for the fear of love, first introduced in this song and later brought full circle in the EP’s closing track, Look I Can Fly. Here, she seems to overcome those fears and surrender fully.

Tracks like Accessory, To Love and Be Loved, Soft, and Love Is a Holiday round out the EP, gracefully moving through pop, R&B, and even touches of jazz to create a sound that feels melancholic, timeless, intense, and captivating.
But perhaps the most valuable aspect of Scared of Heights is Annie’s willingness to be vulnerable. Each track reveals a piece of her story, her fears, and the strength that emerges when she dares to love without holding back.
