Viktor&Rolf x Aubade
The Bow Collection

The bow, a red thread throughout Viktor&Rolf’s 25 year body of work, becomes the highlight of the Viktor&Rolf x Aubade collection. A quintessential symbol of haute couture, the iconic bow adds a feminine and outspoken fashion edge to the collection. The capsule’s signature lace features an appliqued bow motif and delicate garlands of dots on a mesh background, while flat satin bows add an unexpected touch to both the front and the back of the pieces. A play on opposites showcases the juxtaposition of two bold colour ways: Soir and Bonbon.

The exclusive 9-piece offering features a half-cup underwire bra, comfort half cup bra, plunging triangle underwire bra, comfort moulded half cut bra, and triangle bra, all styled with double shoulder straps in the back. To match, there is a tanga slip, a Brazilian brief or a statement all-over lace St. Tropez brief, as well as peek-a-bow lace top.

Men too can take their bow in a printed array of Viktor&Rolf x Aubademen boxers. The sig- nature bow motif stars in a bonbon and black version, while more dandified black and white interpretations feature playful top hats, canes, moustaches and bowties.

The bow collection will hit the shelves of selected retail partners, Aubade’s boutiques and the brand’s online store in June 2019. For the accompanying campaign, Viktor & Rolf tapped a close friend of the house and former muse: the award-winning Dutch photographer Viviane Sassen.

Sassen’s rose hued images are both seductive and sensitive, with leaves graphically jutting into the frame and softly obscuring the models’ faces. This, in turn, can be seen as an homage to former Aubade campaigns, also left faceless so every woman could imagine herself in the item of choice.
