Beauty standards by Beata Cervin & Fernando Torres

A KALTBLUT EXCLUSIVE. Beata Cervin is a Stockholm-based photographer. When friend and stylist Fernando Torres reached out with this awesome idea he had, that’s when all these series started to come out together. This is what Fernando Torres says about this idea ”My work has always had a tendency to create scenarios of juxtaposing elements. Mixing high fashion and sportswear/streetwear, high and low culture. But it’s also about creating representation for BIPOC models and the LGBTQI+ community.”

“For this particular shoot, I wanted to create a mash-up of 90s streetwear with 17th and 18th-century beauty standards. I also wanted to showcase those beauty standards on BIPOC models that never get to represent or play in that sphere.”
