“Inspired by Man Ray and other visual artists of the twentieth century and the UK Punk scene, This concept was built on political unrest and societal backlash. I took my inspiration from the works of the late fashion photographers of the twentieth century who pioneered the changes in fashion imagery. Popularising the use of photographic print within magazines instead of the the once preferred use of imagery by illustration. Previous to this, photography had not been classified as art form. For this story I wanted to create an atmosphere of nihilism with a background of smoky glamour and rebellion. Nodding to punk aesthetics in a vintage setting, both seemingly unrelated subjects are connected by the their political stance with anarchy and change.” says London based session stylist Emily Sweetman
