Imagine entering the jungle deep in the mountains of Bolivia. When the sun sets and the twilight appears. Colours are distorted into black, green, purple and blue hues that reflect in the moonlight. Here you will find the reserved jaguar, hiding among the lush leaves of the jungle and the reflecting eyes will follow you as you make your way through silent rivers and nocturnal animal.

Then bring the mysterious jungle back to the colourful ’90s, with big baggy jeans, oversized sweats and a playful attitude towards clothing. The 90’s filled with laid back vibes, techno fabrics and splashing colours. This mix made the base for the new SS20 collection from the Copenhagen based urban label: Nikolaj Storm Copenhagen, collection NEON JUNGLE.

Educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Nikolaj Storm started the award-winning young brand. “I make clothes that I can’t find anywhere, I make the clothes my friends need in their closet – when it’s for a day at the office or a night out in the city, you will always be able to find your favourite piece from my collections”. The brand is designed for men, but in the modern world of 2019, why should we care about gender in clothes? If it fits you should go for it and that is why the young brand operates with a #NoGender rule on their collections. Throughout his career Nikolaj Storm has created colourful garments, that would light up in any wardrobe. He chooses his eclectic fabrics carefully from their aesthetics and is hands on the whole process to be sure that he can deliver products of high quality.

The upcoming SS20 collection is also the first wholesale collection for the young brand. With the inspiration drawn from a twilight jungle and the 90’s neon clothing, the scene has been set for a colourful kickoff of the brand. “People wear too much black nowadays, we should wear clothes that reflect our unique personalities – your clothes should be as colourful as you are on the inside” states the young designer; “Of course I have black in my collections as well – as black is also an elegant colour, that gives a feeling of luxury to your outfit, but is sure to mix it up with colourful details”.

The collection contains everything from the basic blue jeans with a twist, to the robotic metallic jacket with “STORM” embroidery on the back. With purple sweaters with sporty details to a new take on a suit in lush green silk. An interesting conversation between technical fabrics as well as luxurious silk. The collection booms with colour, and will for sure light up in the streets.
