“The Nomi Effect” feat. Le Pustra

Le Pustra is a dazzling queer “Kunstfigur” based in Berlin. Synthesizing elements of theatre, drag, fashion, and surrealism, Le Pustra is a creation of beauty and an accidental club-kid-cum-avant-garde fashion muse. His work mostly explores self-identity with a sense of irony. This series is a  playful homage to cult “fashion alien” Klaus Nomi and legendary club kid, fashion designer and Provocateur, Leigh Bowery – styled with campy Sci-fi and Retro-Futurism references.

Le Pustra’s most iconic role to date is that of creator (and star) of the sumptuous Berlin-based theatre play: Le Pustra’s Kabarett der Namenlosen: inspired by the provocative queer Nightlife and Cabaret Culture in 1920s/early 1930s Berlin. In 2020 Le Pustra made his TV debut in the award-winning German TV series Babylon Berlin (Season 3 Episode 8) as a mysterious nightclub owner, “Edwina Morell”.
